There are over 60 kilometers of wooded hiking trails for all levels of ability. There is a short, peaceful hike to the Chapel, built by the Trapp family sons on their return home after World War II. A more challenging hike takes you to the Slayton Pasture Cabin, a favorite resting spot for cross-country skiers in the winter. Guided nature walks are available to guests and teach them about native plants, wildlife and the evolving landscape.
In the Stowe area, you can choose from numerous hiking trails including the Long Trail that runs over Mount Mansfield (Vermont's highest peak), Stowe Pinnacle and Hunger Mountain.
Nordic Walking is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and burn calories! Classes offered weekly for this newest exercise method. No experience is required, and equipment is available at our Fitness Center.
