Ringing in the New, Welcome 2014!

by Sam Messer - Sales and Marketing

As with any mention of a new year comes the inevitable talk of the New Year’s Resolution. Love them or loathe them, we’ve all made them at one point or another. From additional trips to the gym, nightly dental flossing, or cutting back on sweets, resolutions often tend towards the goal of what some might call “self-improvement.”

We of course support your quest for personal betterment, but suggest a slightly more indulgent method this year. Why not take a moment to recharge and enjoy the seemingly endless transcendental experiences here on our 2,500 acre property? We take great pride in folks making this their treasured spot to slow their pace, connect with loved ones and enjoy the serenity and awe-inspiring beauty that is Vermont’s landscape.

2014 is looking to be an outstanding year here at the Trapp Family Lodge. In addition to our luxury accommodations, numerous amenities/activities and plentiful dining options, we have a few tricks up our sleeve that are sure to provide visitors with some truly unforgettable memories. In a few short months, we will be the proud host of the 2014 Junior National Cross Country Ski Championships. From March 1- 8, 450 Olympic hopeful athletes, ages 14-19, and 150 coaches from across the United States will spend a week in Stowe while they compete in a variety of race formats that alternate with training days. Spectators will certainly enjoy the new viewing area near the finish line, and on trail snowshoe lanes to see the racers in action. Once you’re done watching the Olympics in Sochi, come visit the next generation of Olympians!

The New Year also brings continued work on our expanding Trapp Lager Brewery. By the time June rolls around, we’ll be brewing our first batches of beer in the new facility. You won’t want to miss an afternoon taking in the sweeping views of Mt. Mansfield from the beer hall as you sip your favorite freshly-brewed Trapp Lager.

These are only a few of the upcoming happenings to look forward to. A good way to stay in the loop is to sign up for our “Keep me Posted” email newsletters, check out the Trapp Family Lodge Facebook page, or bookmark this very blog!

Resolutions take all shapes, and we hope you’ll resolve to pay us a visit in 2014, whether to experience something new, or enjoy one of your longtime “favorite things.” We look forward to hosting you in the New Year and wish you and your family peace and prosperity.
