Monday night was Parent's Night at the Helen Day Art Center in Stowe. Moms and Dads of the more than 370 competing young athletes met for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and talk of the day’s races. Organizer Kristina von Trapp Frame commented, "When my dad decided to start a cross country ski program next to the family's little Lodge back in 1968, he never imagined it would come to this kind of amazing celebration. We are so grateful to be a part of all this."

The competition continues on Friday, March 7, with 5k and 10k Freestyle heats. Thursday is an official training day.
