We put Cross-Country Skiing on the Map
Powder!
It's a beautiful morning with flurries still in the air. It will be a great day to get out!
It's going to be a great day for cross country skiing. There were 2" of new powder over a loose and granular surface. The wax should be Swix Extra Blue. This weekend is the UVM Carnival/NENSA Eastern Cup. It should be a great event. Come watch the elite compete on the FIS homologated race course. All the other 55 kilometers of trail will be open for recreational skiing. I just finished skiing on Extra Blue. I would suggest Blue over binder.
Today
Nice job trail crew!
We are in full operation, with ski school meeting daily at 10am and 1pm. The retail shop is open daily and the Slayton Pasture Cabin provides warmth and lunch daily as well. There is a thick enough crust to support BC skis finally. Enjoy some turns in the meadow!
The shop looks great! Come see what's new for 2012.
Happy skiing!
Congratulations to Robyn Anderson who finished second in the White Mountain 30 Kilometer classic. Robyn is an instructor and co-captain of team VTXC here at the ski center. Robyn also finished second in the Craftsbury Marathon last weekend.
