The NOMAD trial at Trapp Family Lodge high atop the green mountains of Stowe, Vermont just keeps getting better and better! This year they added 3 Friday classes which were completed between 1-5 p.m. There was a keg of delicious Trapp Lager at the end of Fri. & Sat. for competitors and their dogs to relax and socialize post runs in that magnificent setting. Somehow they arranged for super agility weather for 3 days - temps. in the 70's w/ crystal clear air, cloudless sky and always a mountain breeze. A very successful fund raiser raffle for Elicia Calhoun was organized in the true spirit of agility folks helping agility folks. NOMAD members worked cheerfully and efficiently throughout the weekend making the trial run on schedule and like a well-oiled machine - truly the perfect hosts! Judge David Grubel's courses were fast, challenging, creative and well nested for efficient course building. His briefings were refreshingly brief!
Thank you for a fabulous weekend, NOMAD! It's already in our calendar for next year!!!

“Many thanks indeed for a wonderful meeting we all had at Trapp Family Lodge. Not only were the setup and atmosphere perfect for stimulating our scientific discussions, the Trapp staff were impeccable as always with their hospitality. They were always warm and welcoming and never overbearing. I received many thanks from my group for going there and several comments on the helpfulness of the staff, something that people don't often comment on.”

“The tent sits on land owned by the von Trapp family, in the middle of a beautiful field looking out in all directions at the Green Mountains. There’s a special sense of peacefulness about the place. That’s the first thing everyone notices.”
– Peter Senge, Society of Organizational Learning
“Thanks are not enough! Everyone at the Lodge did a fantastic job making us at Forbes and our guests feel right at home. We appreciate the extra effort involved to make everything just right.”
– Forbes, Inc.
“I’ve been involved in arranging meetings for The Nature Conservancy for over 16 years, and our 2001 membership meeting was the easiest one ever. From the first meeting with staff of Trapp Family Lodge to the end of our event, every detail was handled perfectly by extremely knowledgeable, professional and, yes, fun staff.”
– The Nature Conservancy
“Thanks for everything you did for our conference. Your facilities and service are excellent...and there’s nothing like emerging from a long meeting to find yourself in the glorious Vermont countryside. It’s a fantastic property.”
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your help during this year's Pharmacology Retreat at the Trapp Family Lodge. All of our participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the comment was made over and over again how every year these retreats just get better and better. A lot of the reason they DO get better is because you all are so flexible and accommodating to our requests. We couldn't ask for a better group to work with or location to enjoy. Your tremendous attention to our requests, whether great or small, means so much to us all. We truly appreciate everything you do and always look forward to not only attending the retreats, but working with you to put them together. We are looking forward to 2009."
"The National Council of Forestry Association Executives recently held its 2008 Annual Meeting at the Trapp Family Lodge. As Executive Director of the Northeastern Loggers' Association, it was my duty and pleasure to select the meeting site and to plan and host the meeting. We hosted 25 executives and an additional 20 spouses, guest and children at this meeting - and its success was due in large part to your fine facility and the exceptional staff you've assembled at the Lodge."

"Thanks so much for doing such a terrific job for the Dartmouth 58's. I didn't even receive one complaint - most were gushing about the great time! You did it!"
