Current Opportunities 


Periodically we are looking for Maintenance Technicians; Dining Room Servers; Line Cooks, Dishwashers; Front Desk Agents; Bellpersons; Housekeepers. Please submit an application to be considered for these periodic openings.

Human Resources Manager- Full Time, year round. Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of Human Resources functions. Works to ensure a legally compliant workplace, coordinate and oversee the hiring process and foster employee engagement and satisfaction. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; and two years related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Fitness Center Attendant Supervisor- Full Time, year round. Greets and assists guest using the fitness center; Maintains the facility by picking up/replacing towels, testing water, assists guests waiting for massages, and handles retail sales and light housekeeping . In summer handles food/beverage sales at the outdoor pool; serves as lead fitness center attendant. Pool operation experience preferred. Weekends and holidays required.

Bakery Supervisor- Full Time, year round. Supervises and coordinates activities of Bakery staff engaged in preparation of desserts, pastries, confections. Responsible for managing department inventory, ordering supplies and produce. Planning and preparation of future banquet and event orders. Supervises activities of workers engaged in mixing, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing, and wrapping of breads and pastries. Examines dough batter for specified consistency. Oversees operation of automatic machinery. Weekends and holidays required.

Line Cook- Full Time, year round. Trapp Family Lodge features European-style cuisine in our three restaurants- The Dining Room, The Lounge and our DeliBakery. Our executive chef has designed seasonal menus reflecting both Austrian and Vermont traditions. We are seeking a line cook with experience working in an a la carte line with grill and sauté stations. Culinary education preferred. Good safety and sanitation practices are required. Shifts include weekends and holidays.

Dishwasher- Full Time, year round. Responsible for washing dishes and side duties; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.

Server- Seasonal. PM shifts available. Serve guests meals and drinks in a polite and time efficient manner. Work as a team to ensure guest satisfaction with overall dining experience. Experience in fine dining preferred. Schedules vary. Weekends and holidays required.

Front Desk Reception Agent- Full Time, year round, and seasonal. Reception Agents are the first point of contact for our guests. Maintains records and completes follow up correspondence with guests. Ensures other departments are adequately aware of any special requests for each reservation. Facilitates check-in and check-out and guest billing. Minimum of one-year customer service experience with computers and cash handling. Springer-Miller HOST property management system experience preferred. Weekends and holidays required.

Reservations Agent- Part Time, year round. Answers all incoming reservation inquiries through phone, fax and mail. Guides perspective guests through rates and property amenities. Maintains sales of rooms and subsequent follow up of correspondence and rooming. Springer-Miller HOST property management system experience preferred. Schedule includes 9am-1pm, Monday through Friday.

Turndown Attendant- Full Time, year round. Coordinates and performs turndown services for guests. Ensures the public areas of the Lodge are clean and orderly. Provides timely and accurate completion of guest requests for additional amenities and cleaning services. Weekends and holidays required.

Housekeeping- Full Time and Part Time, year round. Crew leader positions available. The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms and public areas to ensure Trapp Family Lodge's high standards of cleanliness and service. The applicant should have a customer focused mindset and positive attitude. The ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.

Housekeeping Dispatch- Part Time, year round. The dispatcher coordinates communication with housekeeping attendants and supervisors on turnover days. Must be able to multitask, work with little supervision, and stay calm in stressful situation. Saturday shifts only
