Periodically we are looking for Maintenance Technicians; Dining Room Servers; Line Cooks, Dishwashers; Front Desk Agents; Bellpersons; Housekeepers. Please submit an application to be considered for these periodic openings.
Brewery Packaging Operator- Part time, year round. The packaging operator is responsible for running packaging equipment safely and efficiently, loading and unloading bottles from the line and cleaning the general brewing area. The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring quality control specifications are met, controlled, and documented throughout a packaging run. Must be detail orientated and hardworking. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Schedule is two days per week, 8-4pm.
Accounting Clerk-Full Time, year round. The accounting clerk performs all accounts payable duties including: preparing cash deposits; entering daily sales in the sales journal, review and balance night audit reports; review invoices and obtain approval, assign GL codes as needed; enter invoices in accounting software program; work with Reception/Reservations to answer and resolve guest questions on bills; handles clerical duties such as petty cash, data entry, filing and reconciling credit card payments. Must be highly accurate and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize the work. Shifts are Mon-Fri.
Bakery Supervisor- Full Time, year round. Supervises and coordinates activities of Bakery staff engaged in preparation of desserts, pastries, confections. Responsible for managing department inventory, ordering supplies and produce. Planning and preparation of future banquet and event orders. Supervises activities of workers engaged in mixing, dividing, molding, proofing, baking, slicing, and wrapping of breads and pastries. Examines dough batter for specified consistency. Oversees operation of automatic machinery. Weekends and holidays required.
Line Cook- Full Time, year round. Trapp Family Lodge features European-style cuisine in our three restaurants- The Dining Room, The Lounge and our DeliBakery. Our executive chef has designed seasonal menus reflecting both Austrian and Vermont traditions. We are seeking a line cook with experience working in an a la carte line with grill and sauté stations. Culinary education preferred. Good safety and sanitation practices are required. Shifts include weekends and holidays.
Server- Full Time, year round and seasonal. PM shifts available. Serve guests meals and drinks in a polite and time efficient manner. Work as a team to ensure guest satisfaction with overall dining experience. Experience in fine dining preferred. Schedules vary. Weekends and holidays required.
DeliBakery Agent- Full Time, year round. Greets guests as they enter the Deli and assists them with their selection. Must be a team player and work well under busy conditions, while maintaining a positive attitude. Cashier experience preferred. Weekends and holidays required. Must be 18 years old.
Dishwasher- Full Time, year round. Responsible for washing dishes and side duties; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.
Reservations Agent- Part Time, year round. Answers all incoming reservation inquiries through phone, fax and mail. Guides perspective guests through rates and property amenities. Maintains sales of rooms and subsequent follow up of correspondence and rooming. Springer-Miller HOST property management system experience preferred. Schedule includes 9am-1pm, Monday through Friday.
Housekeeping- Full Time, year round. Crew leader positions available. The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms and public areas to ensure Trapp Family Lodge's high standards of cleanliness and service. The applicant should have a customer focused mindset and positive attitude. The ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.
Housekeeping Dispatch- Part time, year round. The dispatcher coordinates communication with housekeeping attendants and supervisors on turnover days. Must be able to multitask, work with little supervision, and stay calm in stressful situation. Saturday shifts only
Laundry Attendant- Full Time, year round. Collects, sorts, washes/dries, folds presses and/or distributes linens and terry items in order to provide high quality laundry services to Trapp Family Lodge guests. The job requires being on your feet and lifting/moving linens, both dry and wet. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. Weekends and holidays required.
Fitness Center Attendant- Part Time, year round. The Fitness Center Attendant greets, schedules massages, and performs light housekeeping and seasonal pool maintenance. Candidates should have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and experience with cash transactions. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.
