Periodically we are looking for Maintenance Technicians; Dining Room Servers; Line Cooks, Dishwashers; Front Desk Agents; Bellmen; Housekeepers. Please submit an application to be considered for these periodic openings.
Full-Time & Part-Time
Deli Bakery Agent – Full Time, year round. Greets guests as they enter the Deli and assists them with their selection. Must be a team player and work well under busy conditions, while maintaining a positive attitude. Cashier experience preferred. Weekends and holidays required. Must be 18 years old.
Baker II-Full Time, year round. Uses creativity and baking knowledge to prepare desserts. Produces desserts, assists customers and other bakers in the bakery. Delivers finished product to main kitchen and deli. Good safety and sanitation practices. Must be a team player and work well under busy conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. Weekends and holidays required 1 year of baking experience in a food and beverage setting.
Housekeeping- Full Time and Part Time, year round. The housekeeping attendant is responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms and public areas to ensure Trapp Family Lodge's high standards of cleanliness and service. The applicant should have a customer focused mindset and positive attitude. The ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Weekends and holidays required.
Evening Houseman– Full Time, year round. Performs delivery services for guests and light maintenance work as needed. Cleans public areas such as Dining Room and lounge, hallways, living rooms, patios, balconies, etc. in the Main Lodge. Completes deep cleaning assignments. Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs. Clean driving record a must. Ability to multi-task and prioritize are essential. Weekends and holidays required
Night Cleaner- Full Time, year round. Responsible for cleaning the Main Lodge common areas. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, taking appropriate initiative. Good attention to detail, able to lift 50 lbs. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday, 9:00pm-5:00am . Must have valid Driver's License.
Evening Housekeeping Supervisor- Full Time, year round. Responsible for supervising and working with PM housekeeping staff; organizes and assigns requests for Main Lodge, Guest Houses and Villas; oversees training and coaching of staff; creates and assigns deep cleaning projects. Must have at least 5 years housekeeping experience; supervisor experience is required. Weekend and holidays required
Bellperson-Full Time, year round and seasonal positions available. The bellperson provides our guests with their first impression of Trapp Family Lodge. The bellperson greets guest, parks cars, takes guest luggage to rooms and familiarizes the guest with our amenities and services. Assists the guests upon check out. Delivers items to guest rooms, guest houses and villas. Need to be able to lift up to 75 lbs. This position requires the use of company vehicle, and applicant must prove to have a clean driving record. Weekends and holidays required.
Front Desk Reception Agent– Full Time, year round and seasonal positions. Reception Agents are the first point of contact for our guests. Maintains records and completes follow up correspondence with guests. Ensures other departments are adequately aware of any special requests for each reservation. Facilitates check-in and check-out and guest billing. Minimum of one-year customer service experience with computers and cash handling. Springer-Miller HOST property management system experience preferred. Weekends and holidays required.
Night Manager- Full Time or Part Time. Schedule is 11pm-7am, Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The Night Manager is responsible for completing the audit, communicating with overnight security and resolving guest issues that may arise. The night manager also serves as the overnight reception agent while completing end of day tasks. Applicant should be able to work independently and have a good knowledge of computers. Experience with Springer-Miller HOST property management system is preferred. We are seeking a hardworking, detail orientated applicant who can assist guests with professionalism. Holidays required
Seasonal & Temporary
Switchboard Operator - Seasonal. The switchboard operator is responsible for answering all incoming calls to the lodge and providing our guests the first impression of Trapp Family Lodge. Provides information to callers, transfers calls and takes messages. Minimum one year customer service experience and previous phone experience preferred. Must have pleasant telephone demeanor, as well as the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously. Springer-Miller Host property management system experience a plus. Schedule includes Fridays and Saturdays 10am-8pm and Sunday 8am-2pm.
Laundry Attendant – Seasonal. Collects, sorts, washes/dries, folds presses and/or distributes linens and terry items in order to provide high quality laundry services to Trapp Family Lodge guests. The job requires being on your feet and doing a lot of lifting/moving of linens, both dry and wet. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds. Weekends and holidays required.
Snowmaker- Seasonal. The snowmaking crew is responsible for moving snowmaking equipment and positioning, starting and stopping snow guns. Shifts are primarily overnight, but hours may vary. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. This physically demanding job requires the ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Cross Country Ski Instructor- Seasonal. Ensures that guests receive outstanding service in a guest friendly environment. Conducts lessons and clinics. Previous teaching or racing experience required. PSIA certification preferred. Must be fluent in classic and skate technique.
Host- Seasonal. AM & PM shifts. Attend to Guest needs in the Dining Room. Ensures the smooth running of the dining room by maintaining a presence on the dining room floor, seating guests, overseeing waitstaff and bussers. Fine Dining experience required. Weekends and holidays required.
AM Busser- Seasonal. Clears, resets tables, assists servers and guests. A great attitude and customer service orientation is what's important! Weekends and holidays required.
