Guten Appetit and Prost!

Our April culinary weekends, Guten Appetit, have taken off as experienced cooks, nascent chefs and budding oenophiles take advantage of the popular cooking classes and weekly wine tastings overseen by Executive Chef Jürgen Spagolla and Sommelier Scott Almquist.

In addition, the Lodge once again will host the 9th Annual Stowe Wine & Food Classic, June 23 – 24. The two-day event is one of New England's premier wine gatherings, attracting serious wine lovers and buyers. Auctions have included wines from Maxim's of Paris: a1945 Grand Vin de Leoville "Las Cases" St. Julien Medoc, a 1919 Chateau Rauzan Gassies Margaux, a 1949 Charmes Chambertin and other memorable wines. From Meet-the-Vintners to tastings, food pairings, lectures, a dinner gala, cooking demos and live wine auction, this event is a culinary extravaganza not to be missed. The funds raised support the area's leading health services provider, Copley Hospital.
