So many of us are seeking more peace in our lives — serenity and a place where we
feel at home. Many of us find refuge in our magnificent mountains and the lifestyle
offered in our unique environment. As past and future guests, we hope you too have
experienced similar feelings while visiting us here at The Trapp Family Lodge.
We invite you to cozy up to a roaring fire and enjoy a good book, then doze off into
a long winter’s nap and awaken to the delicious aromas of good hearty Austrian fare.
And, there’s nothing like a vigorous morning cross-country ski to awaken your senses.
The dazzling white snow, the crisp blue sky, the lift you get when you spot the plume of
smoke rising from the Slayton Pasture Cabin, where a warm fire and hot cup of soup
await you. Then join up with one of our knowledgeable naturalists for a guided snowshoe
trek or an authentic horse-drawn sleighride through the woods.
We are all delighted to welcome Sam von Trapp back home to the Lodge. Sam has been
diligently working on the new snowmaking system for parts of our trail network. See his
article in this newsletter for more exciting details.
New Villa owners also feel right at home when they return to their doorstep here on our mountaintop and relax into the warmth and comfort of their alpine retreat.
Our family and staff warmly invite you this season to our home, with the wish that you will make it your home, too.
