Christmas Tree Tours
There is always plenty of excitement surrounding the annual
decorating of over a dozen tall firs, fraziers and balsams carefully
selected from our mountain. Each tree has its own unique
theme reflected in the ornaments, lights and tree skirts. One
may have hand-blown glass balls. Another fruits and vegetables,
birds, or dried flowers. Take a self-guided tour through the
Lodge to view them all. The magic isn't confined to indoors.
Outside you’ll find a winter wonderland — over 70 evergreens
surrounding the Lodge, illuminated in the glow of
thousands of tiny clear lights.
Fitness Center News
The Fitness Center at Trapp Family Lodge will
keep you busy inside and outdoors. We continue
our Snowshoe Treks to the Cabin that include a
break for a nice warm lunch. We also offer Fitness
Snowshoe Treks that are less vigorous than the
journey to the Cabin, but still a great workout.
Inside get fit with yoga, strength training, water
aerobics, and Pilates.
We will be offering a new yoga class; "Intro to
Ashtanga Yoga". This method of yoga involves
synchronizing one’s breathing with progressive
series of postures a process producing intense
internal heat and a profuse, purifying sweat that
detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is
improved circulation, a light and strong body and
a calm mind.
New winter activities include apre's ski/snowshoe
bonfires. Warm your body up by a campfire and
enjoy some treats. We will also have a class teaching
guests how to make lotions and lip balm to keep
their skin moisturized throughout the winter.
