Ordinarily, the teams on the event have 6 runners. Tellman and his two cohorts will attempt the run with just the three of them, each running approximately 33 miles in different sections. They will be leaving the starting area at Trapp Family Lodge This is a critical training run for me, said Tellman. Starting in September I will be running one marathon a day barefoot, so this event is a good introduction to that distance with some great camaraderie among the three of us. Tellman seeks to be the first person to run across America barefoot. About 200 people have made the trek successfully according to unofficial records, but no one has attempted the run barefoot. He begins his 3,000+ mile journey in Battery Park, New York City on September 9
