The Stowe Trail Race Series kicks off this summer on Sunday, July 31.

The series, jointly presented by Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports and The Lamoille County 4-H Foundation, will be held at the three founding sponsors' resort locations – the Stowe Mountain Resort Nordic Ski Center trails, where the Ranch Camp Ramble 5K will take place on July 31; the Macutchan Town Forest Loops, where the Golden Eagle Resort will host the Town Loops 5K on Saturday, Aug. 20; and the Trapp Family Lodge Nordic and Bike Trails, where the third annual Trapp Cabin 10K and 5K Fun Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24.

There are several changes for this year's event. Pre-registration fees for each race have been reduced from $25 to $15 for adults, and a 5K Fun Run/Walk has been added to the Trapp Cabin 10K in an effort to encourage more runners to participate.

Registration on the day of the event is $20 for adults.

All proceeds from the Stowe Trail Race Series benefit Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports and the Lamoille County 4-H Foundation. Friends of Stowe Adaptive Sports provides scholarships to local athletes with physical and developmental disabilities, allowing them to participate fully in the adaptive winter sports programs at Stowe Mountain Resort.

Registration is available online: www.active.com. Information, registration form: www.stoweadaptive.org.
