Teams run a total of 100 miles, following Route 100.

The first wave of racers will start at sunrise at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe; others will soon follow. The finish line is at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow. Most teams finish between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.

The event shows off Vermont's towns, lakes, rivers and scenic beauty, and raises money for Vermont-based youth charities that promote active and healthy lifestyles in support of self-esteem development.

Registration is full for the race. Teams could register in groups of four to six people, or as an ultra team, with only three runners covering the 100-mile distance.

Prizes will be awarded to the fastest team overall, fastest ultra team, fastest team in the open category, fastest team in the masters and super-masters categories, and fastest man and fastest woman.
