In its October issue, Boston magazine named Stowe a top spot for a fall getaway destination for epicureans, adventurers and escapists. The magazine highlighted the zipline tours at Smugglers Notch, the scenic glider rides at Stowe Soaring, and Stowe Mountain Bike Club trails as must-do activities for the adventurous traveler. As for dining spots in the area, Solstice at Stowe Mountain Lodge got the nod for its local artisan cheeses and wines, along with Frida's Taqueria for tacos served on house-made corn tortillas. The Trapp Lager at Trapp Family Lodge also received mention. Topnotch Resort and Spa was listed as a great place to unwind at the end of the day. As for the best places to rest your head at night, the magazine named Stowe Mountain Lodge and the Brass Lantern Inn in Stowe village. Information:
