There has been plenty of talk — and bragging — over the years about how fast people say they can ski to the cabin. Well, here is your chance to put rumors to rest.

On Saturday, Jan. 12, Trapps is hosting a 5K classic point-to-point beginning at the Trapp Family Lodge Outdoor Center and ending at the Slayton Pasture Cabin. The race is mass start and self-seeded. Dry clothes will be taken up for you.

There is also a touring division for those wanting to take in more of the scenery on this beautiful ski.

This event is a fundraiser for VTXC, a Stowe area based ski club dedicated to providing ski coaching to master and junior level ski racers, while also furthering VTXC athletes’ ski racing goals.

Race start: 10:00 a.m. Race-day registration begins at 9:00 a.m.

Awards and after-party will be held at the Trapp Brewery.
