Trapp Family Lodge
September 20, 2013

This winter the Trapp Family Lodge will host both the Junior Olympics and National Ski Orienteering Championships. Being selected for two such important events is a tribute to the resort's outstanding winter programs.

Trapp Family Lodge is also offering two new competitions for hobby skiers. The Tour de Trapp is a Masters race for mature skiers still thriving on competition. The Trapp Nordic Cup is a weekly time trial, with prizes, raffles and parties, for all ages and skill levels.

Every year the resort and home of the von Trapp family teaches thousands of adults and children to cross country ski. Lesson and lodging packages make learning to ski, or improving one's skills, pleasurable and affordable.

The Tyrolean Ski Package is a three-day program for beginners and intermediates. The Slayton Pasture Ski Package includes a vigorous three mile climb, followed by lunch, hearthside at Trapp's rustic log cabin in the woods. There is also a package for those who prefer snowshoes. Ski vacation visitors have access to the resort's extensive array of other winter amenities and activities.
