WILLISTON, Vt. - You may have noticed our FOX 44 and ABC 22 news team has been very involved with the American Cancer Society, so we'd like to tell you about another exciting event that's happening this winter.
It's the Nordic Relay For Life. It's similar to the relay for life that's held in the summer, but this time it will be in the snow!
Still, it has the same mission of finding a cure for cancer, so that we can live in a world with more birthday's!
"Nordic style is really unique because it's the only one in the country, so you don't have to be in Vermont in order to participate. It's cross country skiers, snowshoers, walkers, anybody can come and participate," Danielle Woolsey, Relay for Life specialist at the American Cancer Society, said.
The Nordic Relay For Life starts at 6 p.m. on March 22 at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe.
