Trapp Family Lodge is owned and managed by the von Trapps, one of the world's best known and beloved musical families. The von Trapps, the inspiration for the film, "The Sound of Music", opened this stunning Austrian-style retreat a few years after settling in Vermont in the 1940's.

Today, the 2,500-acre resort with sweeping mountain views provides accommodations in an Austrian-style Main Lodge with 96 rooms and suites, 100 Guest Houses, and 21 Villas. As the summer solstice arrives in beautiful Stowe, enjoy a stunning gastronomic collaboration between Arcadian Winery and dinner by Trapp Family Lodge's renowned chef Brian Thomlinson.

The evening begins with a flute of sparkling wine as you meet the vintners and chefs presenting wines and culinary delights at the Stowe Wine & Food Classic. Then settle in for a phenomenal five-course meal with wine pairings from Arcadian Winery; presented by winemaker Joe Davis. Davis cellars his wines much longer than most other American wineries, allowing them to fully mature and reach their potential, making them truly memorable given the nuance developed over time.

As the evening progresses, you'll be enticed to bid on amazing and one-of –a-kind items, ranging from rare wines donated from the cellars of private collectors to large format bottles signed by the winemakers. Vacation getaways, luxurious items and a variety of splendid and unusual "lifestyle" items will also be offered. This year's auctioneer will be Chris Francis; he's part wine savant and part showman in addition to being proprietor of Ye Olde England Inne.
