TD Bank Eastern Cups at Trapp & UVM Winter Carnival

February 4-6, 2011

Registration: Registration and Bib Pickup will be in the Greenhouse. Opens 1-1/2 hours prior to the start of the first race and will remain open until the start of the last race on each day. Registration and Bib Pickup will be in the Greenhouse. Day of Race registrants can register up until ½ hour before the first race starts. College Bibs for Saturday’s race will be available Sat AM at registration.
Pre-registration deadline is 5PM on Thursday, February 3rd. Day of race registration is an additional $10 and racer will be seeded at the back.

Bib Pick Up Schedule:
-Saturday Freestyle Race: Bib Pick Up from 8:30AM to 11:45AM.
Day of Race Registration: 8:30AM to 9:30AM
-Sunday Classic Race: Bib Pick Up: from 8:00AM to 11:45AM.
Day of Race Registration: 8:00AM to 9:00AM

Race Headquarters: Located in the Greenhouse building across the road from the Nordic Center.

Facilities: There is limited indoor space so please be adequately prepared for the weather. Outdoor portolets are on site.
Parking: Space is reserved for the following teams for first row parking. You will need a parking pass to park here. Passes will be available for pick up at the coaches meeting or at registration on race morning. Please note that there will be plenty of additional parking available on site.
Team passes: UVM, UNH, Dart, Midd, Harvard, UMPI, Bates, Colby, SLU, SMC, Bowdoin, SMS, Burke, GMVS, MWSC, CNSC, CSU, Ford Sayre, Holderness, Gunstock, Putney, Maine Coast, NYSEF, NENSA, NWVT.
Team Waxing Areas: Space for team vans and tents will be reserved on the west side of the main parking lot. Power is available in the southwest corner. Coaches will need to bring your own extension cords- a minimum of 100 feet is suggested.
Start Lists: Start lists will be posted online at www.nensa.net the evening prior to the race. Check carefully for start times. Day of race start lists will be available at Race Headquarters, posted on announcement board by fence, and on southwest window of Nordic Center. Racers will go at 15 second intervals on both days.

Results: Posted on site and at www.nensa.net

Open Course Policy: NENSA has an open trail policy for Eastern Cup non-sprint races, therefore, unintentional interference caused by spectators or tourists will not be a cause for protest. Anyone skiing on the trail must ski in the direction of the race. Those found skiing in the wrong direction may be imposed a fine or in the case of an athlete may have their bib pulled (Jury decision). Technique control checkers will be in place during the competition.

Course Inspection: Courses will be open for inspection at 3 PM on Friday. There is no trail pass required for athletes and coaches during course inspection.

Concessions: Lunch items and baked goods provided for purchase by Trapp Family Lodge.

Awards: Laughing Moon Chocolates of Stowe. Awards will take place at 2:20PM on Saturday just prior to the BKL Race as a Celebration of Skiers of All Ages. Awards on Sunday will be after respective races: 11:00AM for J2’s, 1:00 PM for women, and 3:00 PM for men on Sunday. BKL Awards after race.

Skiing Spectators: Trail passes required: $22 per day or $40 for Sat/Sun two day trail pass.

BKL Race: Saturday at 2:30PM. Freestyle. Same start, course and finish as the big racers! $3.
