The Stowe Winter Carnival features sporting events, ice-carving competitions, Kids’ Carnival Kaos, and Snowgolf and Snowvolleyball tournaments. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this event full of wintery fun.

University of Vermont Winter Carnival
This annual event features gingerbread house building, live music, a snow sculpture contest, and many other fun activities.

Green Mountain Film Festival
This unique spring event offers you an opportunity to see films from independent filmmakers while also giving you a chance to discuss the film with its creators and fellow audience members.

Vermont Maple Festival
The Vermont Maple Festival offers lots of food and fun, including a maple cooking contest, craft and specialty food shows, live entertainment, an 8.5-mile run, a buffet dinner, parade, pancake breakfast, and lots of other great events.

Vermont Artisan Festival
This weeklong festival and tradeshow features over 100 artists showcasing their art and handmade crafts, as well as a live auction, musical performances, and the Battle of the Barbecue grilling contest.

Stowe Food & Wine Classic
Attended by top wine makers and chefs, the Stowe Food & Wine Classis features over 100 wines from around the world, cuisine from local restaurants, cheesemakers, and brewers.

Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival
Watch as more than 25 colorful hot air balloons take to the sky at the Stoweflake Hot Air Balloon Festival. This event includes sunrise and evening launches, as well as live entertainment, great food, children’s activities, and a beer and wine garden.

Champlain Valley Fair
This fair features 10 days of animals, shopping, great food, live music, and thrilling carnival rides. It’s a great outdoor activity for families!
