Accommodations at the Trapp Family Lodge present guests with a crowning experience of the unique harmony that the spirit of Austria and Vermont create. From the moment a visitor crests the top of Luce Hill Road, views of the tree-coated ridgelines and sloping meadows evoke the Trapp family’s Austrian home. Here in Vermont, the Lodge weaves Austrian tradition with modern Vermont in accommodations and expansive amenities. Families, couples, and groups alike find hidden treasures in a property that encomposses “A little of Austria, a lot of Vermont” in Stowe. 

Guests staying in any part of the property have full use of our fitness center, trail system, outdoor pools and hot tubs, and scheduled activities (some activities have an additional fee).

The Main Lodge: Guest Rooms and Suites

At the heart of the property, the Main Lodge provides guests the strongest connection to the authentic version of the von Trapp family’s original vision.  The halls of the lodge are lined with authentic photographs and memorabilia of Maria and her family, while each of the 96 rooms and suites, ranging from a deluxe room to an Austria suite, reflect the cozy decor of their native and beloved Austria. 

Each room in the Lodge is equipped with amenities including:

Complimentary Wi-Fi Access
Flat screen TV with complimentary basic cable and HBO 
Telephone with complimentary local calls
Keurig station 
Iron and ironing board

Suites often include:

Mini Fridge (Mini fridges are available in all rooms upon request)
Whirlpool tub and shower combo
Balcony or patio

All guests are welcome to enjoy living-room style common spaces, stocked with a collection of board games and books, spread throughout the Lodge. Afternoon tea and cookies are set out daily from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in The Lounge. 

Check in time for the Lodge is 3 PM, while check out time is 11 AM. To see a more detailed list of room and suite types, please see here. Pet friendly rooms include select Salzburg Suites, Premier Rooms, and Deluxe Rooms, and include a dog bed, Trapp Family Lodge treats, dog bowls, and a map to dog-friendly areas of our property. 

The Villas 

The Villas, our Austrian-inspired version of vacation houses with luxury amenities, are settled within the rolling hills of the Trapp property and are just a short walk from the Main Lodge. Each of our 30 Villas have their own private entrance, great room, dining area, kitchen, and full baths. 
Families and large groups will find delight in the cozy decor of the 2,543 square foot space, complete with wood furniture and tall windows that complement the sweeping mountain views. 

The three-bedroom villa includes:

Stone fireplace
Hardwood floors
Private entry 
Complimentary Wi-Fi
Jetted tubs
Balcony
Screened-in deck and an open deck
All of our three-bedroom villas can be blocked off into two additional lodging options, available to rent on their own as a Master Bedroom or as a two-bedroom villa, perfect for couples and smaller families. For layouts of the Villas, please continue here. 

The Guest Houses

Our guest houses provide another spacious option for families and larger groups wishing for a more vacation-rental-styled stay. The 100 comfortable guest houses are settled snug within the hillside of Trapp property including balcony and first floor options. Austrian influences throughout the 1,100 square foot house and views of the surrounding peaks add extraordinary charm to this von Trapp  experience.
