Christmas Week Celebrations In Stowe, Vermont


Christmas week, Trapp Family Lodge will have caroling with the von Trapps on Christmas Eve, a delicious holiday buffet on Christmas at the Main Dining Room (for resort guests only), followed by amazing special events such as Choral groups, Curious Creatures, Marko the Magician, Santa's Reindeer and more! New Years's Celebration Tuesday, December 31, 2024


Experience New Year's Eve in Stowe, Vermont at the Trapp Family Lodge and ring the New Year in, in style! Our celebrations start with a gourmet buffet dinner (resort guests only) followed by fireworks at midnight. Special family events also occur, of which you can find in our activities calendar as we get closer to the date.

Violin Performance by Ridgefield Suzuki School Sunday, January 12, 2025


Join us at 10am for a 45-minute performance with advanced Violin students from Ridgefield Suzuki School in Ridgefield, CT. They will perform a varied program in our Mozart Room, ranging from classical to ragtime to film music.  Come hear these fifteen young violinists, ranging in age from 13-18, who have all been playing since they were 3-6 years old.

Tour de Stowe Sunday, February 2, 2025


Co-hosted by Stowe Nordic and NENSA, this event is returning for its 2nd year. Join us for a fabulous tour on some of Stowe’s best Nordic trails.  The Tour de Stowe is a non-competitive classic technique ski tour taking place on the gorgeous trails of the Trapp Family Lodge and Stowe Mtn Resort cross-country centers. 

The course will start and end at the Trapps Outdoor Center.  The 25km course will be a loop and there will be a 15 km cutoff for those who prefer the shorter distance. The 5 km short course is for K-6th graders with treats at the finish. Also at the finish, a Festive Expo is planned with representatives from some great Nordic related companies.

Race to the Cabin February 9, 2025


The race to the CABIN is back! Come enter this festive, low-key event; some may race, and others may tour. Just come out and ski at your own pace to the famous Trapp's Slayton Pasture Cabin and enjoy a hot chocolate or hot cider!!

Course Description: Only one hill, a moderate 3 ½ K final climb to the cabin, but well worth the effort.

Valentine's Day Friday, February 14, 2025

Catamount Ultra Marathon June 21, 2025


The 25k course is primarily wide, hard-packed dirt trail. Rolling through highland pastures and hardwood forest complete with maple sugar tap lines in place and ready for the spring "run", this course is not to be missed. The course circumnavigates our incredibly well maintained trail system To complete the 50k course, runners will complete the 25k loop, two times. There is an 9 hour racer cutoff for the 50k.

Oklahoma! in Concert August 13-15, 2025


Picnic in the concert meadow and enjoy the Oscar- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical score brought to life in concert by a full orchestra, soloists, and chorus, conducted by Christopher Ray. Set in Oklahoma in 1906, the musical depicts a love story between a farm girl and a cowboy and the growing rivalry between the cowboys and local farmers.  The musical is the first written by the famous duo of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, and features well-loved tunes including “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin” and “Oklahoma”.

Oktoberfest 2025 September 20, 2025


Join us for the 16th annual Oktoberfest at the von Trapp Brewing Bierhall at 1333 Luce Hill Road in Stowe VT! The Inseldudler Band will be playing at both sessions as well as Trachten contests (for traditional Oktoberfest outfits), cask tapping and U.S. Steinholding competitions at each session. 

There are 2 sessions on Saturday and each session is five hours in length. Adult tickets include your first beer, an Oktoberfest souvenir mug, an app, entree and live entertainment. Students include everything except the beer and get a soda instead and Youth get an app and a soda. Dessert will be available for purchase a la carte the day of.

Trapp Cabin Trail Races 2025 TBD


Run a 5k, 10k, or Half-Marathon on the beautiful trails of Trapp Family Outdoor Center in Stowe, Vermont in the peak of foliage season. This perennial favorite is a great opportunity to try out trail running, to look for your personal best, or simply to challenge yourself while exploring the beautiful scenery and the trails around the resort. Sign up to run with family and friends, and create some long lasting memories! This event is an important fundraiser for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports.

Challenge yourself with this half and full marathon distance trail run in the heart of the Green Mountains at beautiful Trapp Family Lodge. Fall is the best time to visit Vermont and we think that running through crisp, colorful fall foliage on the Trapp Lodge trail system is just the way to do it.
